I'm confused by what you mean by "digitizer"...do you mean the screen? a digitizer tablet? a mouse type device? a handheld scanner (they used to be called digitizers)?

The digitizer is the clear part of the screen that resides in front of the lcd that is responsible for the touch sensitive capability. After age, the digitizer can wear out, hence the handheld will no longer sense stylus touches, but the picture will be crystal clear as the lcd is undamaged. If you disassemble the entire flip lid, inside the halves are lcd and the digitizer and each can be removed easily.

Okay, I'll bite. Why is it still good if its used? There must be a story there.

I had a 770 with a broken lcd from being dropped. I bought the top half of a 780 on EBay, needing only the LCD...I took it out and put it in my 770 which fixed it, leaving the digitzer left ofter since my 770 digitizer was undamaged in the drop.

Nice thing about the Mobilepros is that their digitizer seems to made of some type of acrylic, not glass like a pocketpc, so while they are more prone to wear and tear, they are less susceptable to cracking or breaking.

I have same problem. Can you tell me how to swap the screens? I have the parts. Thanks.
