High-pitch squeel

Does anyone else's Axim put off a bit of a squeel or humm? Mine seems to, and I don't know if it just developed that or if I just started noticing it. I can hear it now while it sits on the docking station and I can hear it really well if I place the unit near my ear.

Just wondering if it is something I should call Dell about, or if it is normal.

Try doing a soft reset first.

Then call Dell @ 1 800-624-9897

Some devices that are backlit, like pagers, cell phones, and PDA's will emit a high pitched squeal. Usually you can only hear it, if you hold the device up to your ear. If you can hear the thing while it is sitting on the table, then something must be wrong.

I had a screech coming from my Axim the other day when I had Sync problems. After I resolved the issue, it stopped and it has not reoccurred. :confused:

I just got off the phone with Dell (who hassled me over the orginal address the Axim was sent to, even though it was a Christmasgift...go figure) and was told that if I hard reset it and it still squeels they will give me a new Axim. Apparently this is not a known issue.
