Hi all !
When i open a CSV file on my Revo, it uses the Data program, however on my Series 7 it uses Web to open the document. Can anyone please tell me how to set it up so that the Data program opens the CSV file.

Thank you

If the Psion "Web" application is installed, plain text files are opened in Web and a .CSV file is actually just a plain text file.

I have my "Web" application disabled so that it doesn't open text files - in C:\System\Apps\ I have renamed the "Web" folder to "wWeb" so that it isn't recognised. To use Web, I just delete the "w" at the beginning again.

How do i set it up so that my data program opens that file?? Disable "Opera" too? :)

I seem to think there is a way to associate files with particular programs (or an application to do this) but it isn't something I know anything about. Perhaps someone else has a solution.

Kenny

I think what you need is an app like plOpen for changing file associations. I haven't tried it, but there's a demo download available here:

http://psiloc.com/psion/eng/plopen/index.html

Hope you have more luck with that download than you did with the OS!

Sorry Guys, I thought i had copied the CSV file directly to the psion as a CSV file but had not it was converted with Psiwin.

Julie thanks for that link though i will try the program since i would like it if i could just copy the file over from our IT department via Infra Red - thus PSIWIN (no conversion ) would be needed.
