I Can't seem to find instructions that will allow me to connect to the internet via my wireless linksys router.
I really don't know much about setting this up and all the instructions I have found are very vague, or assume I already know what I am doing.
Could anyone give me or find me some wireless setup for dummies instructions?
Thanks

you need to know the settings of your wireless AP or router
You will need...
1. SSID = A name assigned to the wireless network
2. WEP = Any pass phrases or keys and how many bits.... 64 or 128
3. Channel = Not really important but sometimes it is required to close the window.
4. Infrastructure mode or ADHOC. (Likely infrastructure)
5. TCP/Ip settings. (Probably DHCP)
You will hav eto input this info into your E740 wireless config with is likely under programs. Don't have a toshiba so I am not sure. Send a reply if you need more help.
Also try the toshiba forum.

I use an e740...it's easy, as the Toshiba, by default is in a "Wardriving" mode, and will jump onto any 802.11b connection it can...so no need to worry about inputting an SSID.
Initial settings for the 802.11b on the e740 is in Connections>Network Adapters screen, called (convienently) IEEE 802.11b WLAN Adapter.
Make sure that the wireless in enabled on the router, and that the router is dishing out DHCP. If you are using encrypted WLAN, make sure those settings are the same on both devices. (On your Toshiba, they are in Settings>System> Wireless LAN Utility.
Works flawlessly on mine....
Learn to use the "Scan" utility and you will discover that many places have WLANs that you can jump into....I picked up my e-mail at the mall courtesy of Best Buy earlier ;o>
