windows media player problem

I downloaded the latest version of windows media7.1 and now I get a error saying there is no skins and to reinstall media player. any suggestions on how to download skins or to get my old player back up and running again

I have had a similar problem, and I am not sure how it started, but my player won't work even when I did download more skins. For your problem, download a skin from pocketgear, or the microsoft site, and install it on your axim. I can't say if it will solve the problem, becuase it sort of worked on mine. I say sort of becuase after I did this, it didn't give a message about the skins, but it still wouldn't load right. I tried removing the media player and re-installing it, but you can't delete the one that came with it.

If you have Pocket PC 2002, you can download service pack 3 from Microsoft's website. If you have Pocket PC 2000, look for service packs for it. You might find something. Anyway, the service pack should upgrade your version of windows media player. I think it upgrades it to Windows Media Player 8.5.

Try using real player. Just another option. Search for Real Player for the instructions on this forum.
