Psion Specific Classifieds Please?

To Psion Moderators:

Hi,
Is there any possibility of having a forum board within the Psion pages for Psion specific classified ads/wants please?

The reason why I'm asking is I'm just about to give my brother my old netBook and I'd like to advertise to the Psion community specifically that he/I will be after the other things for the netBook which he'll need, i.e. case, RAM, docking station, ac & car adaptors etc. (I'm being generous, but not that generous to give him those things that I don't have duplicates of!!!)

We would very much like to have our own Classifieds section here at PsionPlace, and have requested this of the board administrators once or twice in the past, but have been denied.

I agree with you that it would be preferable to have all Psion-related ads here, as they do tend to get lost amongst all the other things being advertised. It's a shame too that some people don't even realise the Classified section exists, as they come straight to PsionPlace, rather than entering through the "front door" so to speak.

As Julie says, the decision to carry all advertising in the 'Classifieds' forum is one which was made by the Administrators (full time staff) and not the local forum moderators. They are very strict about ads being removed from the discussion forums.

Hi Mods: Just speculating, would it be helpful like when the old postings archive was resurected by enough of us requesting it. Would it help if we all emailied the administrators, asking for this separate psion classified section?

I wouldn't think so because the issue is not whether Psion Place can have an "ads" category, but rather do they restructure the boards so every platform has its own ads and the existing "Classifieds" is abandoned. Consider also that there can be cross-platform ads for items such as modems, CF disks and so on.
