Trackwheel Broken -How to send mail?

The trackweel on my RIM Blackberry 957 has broken and will no longer push in. Any idea how to send mail using some keyboard shortcut? Thanks.

Excellent question. One of our users had the same problem. Unfortunately, RIM says that such a hotkey does not exist. Their reason for not including one is to prevent accidental sends. I therefore requested that they include a hotkey to activate the thumbwheel menu so that you could send from there. They are considering this.

You could have the unit serviced -or- buy a broken or cheap one off ebay or yahoo and use it for parts. The trackwheel piece is modular so it is easily replaced once you open it up.

I did have the unit replaced. Earthlink ended up being great on taking care of getting me a replacement the next day. Thanks.
