I tried to put a couple mp3s onto a compact flash card and then play them through windows media player. I was able to get them on, but after a bit of playing (10 seconds or so) it'd start to skip and then stop, then jumping back to the windows media default song/sound. I'd then use file explorer to check if there was anything on the card. It'd say the card is blank. After a soft reset, the files were visible again, but if I tried to play, some things would happen.
Is it the card? windows media? I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem.
Oh and another slight problem, on the bottom of the screen, there appears to be 5 slighty darker spaces, as if 5 things were pushing down on the screen...

it's the way you transfer the media files. You have to open your PCs windows media player and then save the songs onto your harddrive. Then click on COPY TO DEVICE and that will transfer your mp3s.

That isn't entirely correct - you can drag and drop files using explorer as long as those MP3 files were not recored with the personal rights settings activated on the PC WMP. If the personal rights was on the files would have to be transfered through the WMP.
Or vice versa - rights on is ok for explorer and off requires WMP - I got my settings to were they need ot be and haven't toched them for three years.

Hi, I recently achieved a similar problem to yours. My E115 and 256M CF with videos and mp3s also skip, freeze and playlist became blank! If you have got the solution already I'd be thankful for your sharing :)

I plug the CF card into my reader on my PC and copy the files direct then plug the CF card into my Axim. They play fine, and I have copied mp3's from my CF to my SD on the Axim itself and they still work fine. There may be some problem you're getting with Active Sync altering your files.
