I used to be able to start Activesync from my pocket pc, but now I notice it is not available and I cannot get to it. Activesync still starts automatically when device is put on the cradle, but I cannot start it manually to sync by IR, etc.

How do I get Activesync to start on my pocket pc? Audiovox Maestro w/ 128 mb CF and 128 mb SD cards. I have version 3 upgrade for PPC2002. I know it's on the device, but I can't find how to get it to re-appear on the start menu. Please help!

Regards,

tewkes

In File Manager, look in main memory at the Windows/Start Menu folder. There is (or should be) a 42B sized 'program' that runs Activesync manually. This file can be deleted. I believe that it can be sent via email and you can replace your file. If you email me directly and ask for the Activesync start menu file for the Maestro (be specific so that I understand and remember) and I'll send it from my Maestro. Detach to the above mentioned folder and I bet you're in business again.

My direct email is djfirth@mindspring.com

Also ... I only loaded PPC 2002 upgrade 1 as that is all I needed to fix issues with my Maestro. Doubt this is an impediment to my suggested fix but wanted you to know.
