I own a M505 that was given to me by a palm sales rep who used it as a demo
when they first came out. she said it had a sticky power button, a problem she
said was standard with the eairly M505 units. basicly she said the button would
either stay on or stay off. but on dissasembaly of the unit the power switch is
still quite tactile, indicating, (to me) that the unit is still with-in proper
operating standartds, but I cannot be 100% sure that that is the case. so I was
wondering if you guys knew anything about the "sticky power switch"? also it
appears as if the battery on this unit is beyond charge, because I charged it
last night, all night but I cannot get it to charge. Then again, when I unplug
the battery and plug it back in again the power light turns on for a few
seconds then it turns off as if the power button was being pressed, so maybe
there is a problem with the power button and not the battery. what would be a
good way to test it? I'm not a clueless user, you can give me technical
instructions, and I'll understand them. I could de-solder and remove the power
switch that would make it so I would know for sure that that switch wasent
being pressed. what do you think? any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank
you for anything
