Anyone know where I can download movie trailers and then convert them in Kinoma producer, seems it's a little hard to find sites that will let you download trailers to your hard disk.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Just.. uh.. use Opera web browser :)

Then when you see the link right click and Save As rather than Open (default).
I do that because I just like downloading the entire file to disk before playing since then it won't skip or anything.

If you go look for The Matrix: Reloaded trailer however you can download the 1024x4** size trailer as zip file (since its so big!)

Kinoma has a link to Sony's web page where several movie trailers are already converted for use with Kinoma Player. Here's the link:

http://www.sonypictures.com/mobile/handheld/

Yahoo has an area of their web site that lists movie trailers. Just follow mmmkay's instructions for saving the trailers to hard drive before converting with Kinoma Producer. Here's the link:

http://movies.yahoo.com/trailers/

Hope you find these useful.

I've heard about this site. ClieFlix (http://www.clieflix.com) claims to have much pre-converted content, but I think they're down for spring cleaning (or something.)

When a Palm T|T user chooses a file format to download, it is said that we should choose the "Yahama Blah-Blah-Whatever" format as it is optimized for T|T usage.

I look forward to trying it out when they get their act together again.

i usually download my trailers from apple.com...youd need quicktime to view them on your PC but you may just save to your disk <save target as> and then convert. i have tried converting using the producer <just the first 15mins :) > and it does work. hope this helps...

The afore-mentioned ClieFLIX (http://www.clieflix.com) is back up with cartoon-y Kinoma goodness.

"Samurai Jack" for everyone.

Happy,

P.S. They even have a T|T option now, instead of the previously stated (and true at the time) "Yamaha Blah Blah" option we as T|T users were to select.

Enjoy.

Unfortunately the files are *huge*. It doesn't really help that 64MB cards aren't really 64MB. Card manufacturers count them in like 1000 bytes = 1 KB whereas it's supposed to be 1024 bytes = 1 KB.. Turns out to be about 60MB. Most of that's already used up for apps and stuff.

The cards are still kinda expensive still. I can't wait till the 512 MB cards drop down in price. Right now the 128MB cards are CDN$120 at the local Futureshop. (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&dept=0&WLBS=fs%2Dweb5&sku_id=0665000FS10018942&catid=&newdeptid=14)

Can you please explain this in more detail - I have Opera, but I can't make this work on any site - Apple, Yahoo, etc. I just get a text file or html file but no trailer. Thanks

Try right click, save target as.
