Delivery Time

I just wanted to find out how long it has been taking them to ship things. I just ordered the Axim on Mon 1/06/03. I payed the extra $16 for next day. I didn't order anything else thinking that mich speed things up. 7 days now and Dude No Dell. The delivery date the compter spit out was Wednesday 1/29/03

I'm in the same boat you are, Jared. I ordered mine on the 7th, with next day shipping and I am still Axim-less. Same delivery date, too. My order continues to show "In Production". Of course, they felt free to charge my credit card right away...

All I can think is that they got mass orders right after Christmas and are playing catch-up right now. Doesn't make me feel any better, though ;) I had spoken to a customer service rep, and she said they had recieved a large shipment in a day before, so they should be on their way, but that was last week. She was probably reading a "how to get rid of annoyed customers" script...:rolleyes:

Same old story with these. I guess for the value we are getting, a wait shouldn't be too much to ask for. BUT I am not waiting more than a month for mine. I ordered it on Dec 26 and according to Dell I should have it by Jan 22nd. If it gets delayed for any reason I'll be cancelling my order. Shouldn't have to wait 4-6 weeks like it's a rebate or something :-) It's a mass produced piece of equipment for God's sake.

ordered mine 1-6-03 was delivered 1-8-03.
i ordered extra battery and extra year warranty.
hope you get yours soon.

hmmm.

so if you order nice little accessories that help to make up for the loss they're probably taking for the pda itself, you'll get your order much faster than if you order the bare-bones pda?

looking on their site now - the "usually ships" time is set for all Axims to 3+ weeks...

I dont know if that helped or not. i was very surprised to get mine so fast. asked for reg. shipping also. guess my order got through the system faster?

i ordered mine 12/25/02 and the order status says it should ship tomorrow and get here the 20th - 22nd. i got a 300 mhz with a leather case.(which i may be returning because i didnt realize it came with a case until about a week or so later when i was reading through this forum.) Hope this helps, it will come soon enough!:cool:

Yay! Mine shipped from Dell on the 18th - should be at the office today!



Unfortunately, I won't be back in the office until thursday... :(
