I found out today that if you go to MSN mobile, you can sign in with your passport and it will bring you right to your hotmail account. No need to set it up in your outlook.
just passing on the knowledge.........

Fastback66,
If you are trying to get to Hotmail by going to www.hotmail.com, you WILL have problems.
Try this:
Open Internet Explorer, click on the "HOME" icon at the bottom of the screen. This should bring you to a page where you see Advantgo, MSN Mobile, etc.... click on MSN Mobile. It will prompt you to sign in using your MSN Passport. Once you do this, it will give you access to your Hotmail account. If you still want to set up Hotmail in your Outlook, go to http://www.frieger.com/ for the app.

i hate to be greedy, but is there a way to d/l the hotmail inbox to your PPC by syncing? I'm not sure when I'll have Internet access and when i wont so i want to read my mail offline. I used a piddly little free program with my Palm and it was convenient.(it d/led my Outlook Express Inbox which i had synced with my Hotmail account):D

If you install PocketHotmail, you can download your hotmail messages through synchronization. Once you see the ActiveSync window, go to options and select email messages as an item to be sycn'd. This should pull you hotmail messages into your inbox at the time of synchronization.
The reason that I know this is because mine was doing it constantly and I had to "uncheck" the "messages" box to get it to stop.
