I am trying to IR beam a photo between my T68i phone and my m130 Palm. When I go from the phone to the palm, the file is (indeed) sent (both screens show it sending/receiving); however after the T68i says "sent", the m130 immediately says "the file is an unknown format". I have verified the phone is sending a .jpg. I also have MGI's photosuite installed on the m130. So, I am pretty sure the m130 can read .jpgs... I hotsync'd with my computer and sent a .jpg and it was fine. Any ideas why the file isn't recognized - from the phone?
Then, if I try to send in the other direction - m130 to the T68i - (without moving either device) the m130 says "an unknown error occurred" just as it starts. Quite often I also get "no devices found" after the "searching" begins... even though I just sent a file from the phone. I believe both devices are setup properly, although with the lack of setup steps in the manuals, I may be missing some subtle point here (I hope, anyway).
Palm Inc can't seem to help (nor is their knowledge base of any assistance). They insist it's a T68i problem in that they say Sony "reserves the rights in order to modify the Palm OS software to suit their requirements"... huh? That's what they wrote to me after days days of waiting.
Anyway, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
