Am looking for a leather case with belt clip. jbk 01-15-2003, 03:24 AM Their web site is www.ebcases.com. I have used a handspring visor case with belt clip from them for almost 2 years. The clip broke once. I ordered a replacement. I have one for my axim on order. I am hoping it is as good of quality as the one I have for my visor. navdan 01-15-2003, 11:25 AM jbk: I have an EB case for my Palm V and love it. I now have an Axim and want another case. You mentioned you have an EB case on order for your Axim. I didn't see one on their web page. Can you provide some info on the case? Thanks! fastback66 01-15-2003, 11:54 AM http://www.ebcases.com/Search.bok Leather EB CASES for dell axim. navdan 01-15-2003, 12:12 PM Thanks! I'm ordering one! Hibiki 01-15-2003, 12:51 PM how is the leather? does it feel cheap? I was bout to order one until I saw the pictures, it seems low quality. I'm waiting for krussel and vaja to make cases for the axim. fastback66 01-15-2003, 12:56 PM Am using Rhino-Skin (RhinoPak 1100 SportCase) & I love it. I have room for my credit cards & the 3400mah battery fit perfert. I dont use the straps on the top. This one is More casual, in other hand l will use leather for non casual moments. http://www.saunders-usa.com/rhinoskin/prod.cfm?cat_id=5031&prod_id=5073 wwflyfish 01-15-2003, 01:47 PM anyone have any experience with innoppocket's metal cases? i like the look and will wait if they have a good product. karl mookie 01-16-2003, 07:48 AM I received my eb slipper case for my Axim a couple of days ago... After waiting almost 3 weeks for delivery. I'm a little disappointed and am considering returning it. I've got a slipper case for my Ipaq which I love. But putting the two cases side-by-side the axim case doesn't seem as nice. Leather is a little thinner, not as much padding on the bottom. The fit is nice though. Overall, not a bad case but for ~$41 shipped, I'm not overly impressed. Now that I've cracked the screen on my Axim ( happend before I got the eb slipper case  ) I'm waiting a couple of weeks for a replacement so I'm going to keep looking at other cases. mookie Iguana73 01-16-2003, 08:59 AM Mookie, Sorry to read about screen, but could you enlighten us on how the screen got cracked? I would like to avoid such a scenario. Thanks in Adv. mookie 01-16-2003, 10:58 AM Originally posted by Iguana73 Mookie, Sorry to read about screen, but could you enlighten us on how the screen got cracked? I would like to avoid such a scenario. Thanks in Adv. Not really sure. I always keep it in the case that came with it and one morning I pulled it out and started using it and the screen taps weren't registering right. I tried to realign the screen but no use. I then noticed a very small, fine crack in the screen starting above the D-Pad maybe 1/4 of an inch long. After several days, the crack has gone almost to the top of the screen. Right now my Axim is totally useless. Dell is going to exchange it...which I'm thrilled with...but I've got to wait several weeks for my new one. :( Not real happy with that but I'm glad that Dell didn't turn their back on me SandiJD 01-17-2003, 12:41 PM I received my confirmation email from ebcases on 1/11. I'm anxious to receive my new case...hope it's more compact than Dell zipper case. Wonder when this thing will come??? Said something about a backorder. Hope it's not too long.... navdan 01-17-2003, 02:07 PM sandiJD: Please let us know when you get the case. Also, please give us your opinion of the case. I have an EB case for my Palm V and love it, but an earlier post about the EB case for the AXIM wasn't real positive. Before I order one I want another opinion. Also, did you order one with a belt clip? Thanks. Enjoy! SandiJD 01-17-2003, 02:17 PM I will be sure to give my unbiased opinion of the eb slipper when I receive it. I didn't order it w/ belt clip. Don't need it. Michael685 01-30-2003, 03:09 AM Belkin case for Axim (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Product_Id=135174) SandiJD 01-30-2003, 04:42 AM I received my EB slipper case on Wednesday. I'm not too impressed with it. Slots in top are so deep, the cf card disappears. I have 1 cf card and a few business cards in it, and that's pushing it. Just not much room for anything in it. Leather seems cheap and not that well made for $41 (incl.shipping). Not much padding either. I've now ordered the Sena slipper case...looks much nicer. I would NOT recommend the EB case. sunny 01-30-2003, 03:41 PM I just got my case from EB yesterday, Actually I'm a little bit disappointed It fits ok. but when you hold it, you can feel the case seems like a little bigger. If I know Belkin has the case for Amix sooner. I would give it a try (compare $39.95 to $24.95) navdan 01-30-2003, 04:40 PM Thanks SandiJD and Sunny, Sorry your EB cases aren't as good as they could be. My EB case for my old Palm was great, but it looks like either their design or their quality control has dropped. It looks like I'll check out the Belkin. navdan 01-30-2003, 05:23 PM I just called Belkin. Cases for the Axim won't be available for at least four weeks. I also sent an e-mail to Belkin Sales. I'll post there ETA when I receive it if it is different. PPC2517 01-30-2003, 08:59 PM Has anyone checked out this hard case for Axim? http://66.155.8.4/detail.htm gnu 01-30-2003, 09:56 PM If any one has the zippered-leather case from Dell, what do you think about it? morphscott 01-30-2003, 10:49 PM I tried and returned not one but two cases from Nutshell, tuff-as-nuts.com. They were poorly made with an ultra suede lining that would scratch & smudge the screen of the Axim and its belt clip was rigid and it had no extra storage and it fit too snug. I just got by EB slipper case & I am much more pleased with it. Iguana73 01-31-2003, 02:06 AM I have and use the Dell supplied zipper case. I think it is good enough, some complain that it does not have enough storage space. It can hold three 3"x2 cards (ie bussiness cards or ID card) and two SD chips. I have also put a memo book (5"x3") in the case. Comes in handy if I need to jot a quick note. I carry a multi function pen in the case. Hope this helps. gnu 01-31-2003, 08:36 AM Thanks. :) I already have the case, but I received it three weeks before the Axim is scheduled to come. So hopefully it will see some use very soon. navdan 01-31-2003, 10:18 AM Quote from Belkin sales: "The case and the rest of the Axim accessories should be available mid to late February. Once they are in stock, you will be able to order the product from our website." fastback66 01-31-2003, 02:58 PM :D. Nice update, Thanks.:D daximx5 02-01-2003, 10:49 AM I just received my EB Slipper Axim from ebcases.com and personally I love it. It's not cheap leather at all...nice and soft ;) Easy access to ALL buttons (great for gamers), I can listen to music with the case closed, I can fit my sd card and my cf card in it...plus some cash/business cards, people have said the leather isn't that thick and it isn't padded well, but IMO the thinner the leather, the more compact it makes it, and it's padded enough to survive falls onto concrete. It did take a couple of weeks to get here since it was backordered and my only problem with it is that it can't fit in the cradle with it on :/ I highly reccomend it tho. GuyT 02-01-2003, 06:59 PM I'm waiting for one of these metal cases. They tell me they will be offering one for the Axim. Until then, I'm going with Dell's supplied case. http://www.proporta.com/default.asp?id=Home Guy rozell99 02-10-2003, 02:46 PM I hate to say this, but I had exactly the same experience other than the people at Dell treated it as if it were my fault and they were initially not going to exchange it. I know it was not dropped and I know nothing was put on top of it. It was also in the Dell leather case sold on their website. The only thing I can think of, and I know this is not it, was it was very cold (about 0) the day the screen cracked. Anyway, my company buys a LOT of PCs from Dell and our ordering guy went through our personal rep and they finally replaced the Axim. Maybe they have changed their policies since then. Does anyone know where I can find a hard case? go2duke 02-18-2003, 07:13 PM The post above you is "hard case" G2D vsrerie 02-19-2003, 06:38 PM If the goal is to have a case which can be attached a belt, consider your local shoe repair shop. I took the case that shipped from Dell and some black cloth web straps and velcro that I had to a local shop and for $3 had the velcro sown on the ends of the straps and one side of the web sown on the back of the Dell case. Works great. morphscott 02-19-2003, 06:41 PM Vaja Cases has just today released its case for the Dell Axim 5. It is sweet, too! :) fastback66 02-23-2003, 07:47 PM I need any update with any leather case with clip. I am looking for a good one. geowizardry 02-24-2003, 12:28 PM Originally posted by fastback66 I need any update with any leather case with clip. I am looking for a good one. I have ordered a Krusell leather case for mine. I have one for my Toshiba and love it, great quality leather. I preordered mine from Pride Communications Service, http://www.pcs-ltd.com. They aren't available until mid March, but if you preorder, they are charging $19.99. You can see a picture of the Axim case at: http://www.krusell.se/artnews/NEWsCASE030320.html Quoted from the pcs-ltd email I received: "The retail price for this case will be $27.50. As a preorder, they will be sold at the discounted price of $19.99 until they are received in our warehouse" plus $5 or so for shipping. You can email Tony at sales@pcs-ltd.com. The Multidapt clip system is available, not sure how much more, maybe $5 additional. swot773 02-24-2003, 03:05 PM I own a Samsung i300 (My Axim is supposed to be here tomorrow) and I have an EBCases case for it. It's a very well made sturdy case. I'd recommend their products to anyone. Yes, I'm moving from a PDA to a Pocket PC and I can't to get it. fastback66 02-28-2003, 11:58 AM Does anybody receved any leather case from Sena? wwflyfish 03-03-2003, 10:10 AM innopocket hs a new metal case avail. www.innopocket.com looks good karl luvbikn 03-03-2003, 03:55 PM spoke w/ Belkin today..........They will receive the cases next Monday at which time we'll be able to order. I'm going to wait until then. wiserways 03-10-2003, 12:25 PM I called Belkin today and the Axiom cases have arrived in their warehouse. They should be released for shipping to customers today or tomorrow. I ordered one and was told that it would probably ship tomorrow (3-11) but no later than Friday. You can't order it from their website yet but you can order by telephone. wwflyfish 03-10-2003, 01:45 PM got my sena case last week, very well made and looks great, highly rec. it karl morphscott 03-10-2003, 01:59 PM I, too, also just received my Sena case and it is very well made and attractive & highly functional. I highly recommend it or the EB slipper case. Thanks. :) marvi1 03-10-2003, 02:32 PM I just got the EB slipper case last week. It fits fine, but is a bit loose. I'm not sure I like the magnetic closure, but that isn't a big deal. The case looks very nice, with a solid hard back and a padded front flip. The holes for the side toggle and SD slot are off slightly. I also got the USB charging kit, and it is a good deal: USB cable, wall plug attachment and a car-charger attachment. The cable does not fit as tightly into the AXIM as the Dell cable, but it does the job. PDA Street
