Active Sync and Dell

Someone reset my Dell Axim. I have not done a backup on the pc yet. Hindsight that was bad. But on Microsoft active sync all the info is still there how do I get active sync to recognize the Axim. It wants me to register the Axim as a guest or another user it will not recognize it as the original profile? Any suggestions?

What you are going to have to do is delete the existing partnership in Activesync - File menu. Then create a new partnership and resync.

However if you have files that are in the "PPC My Documents" on your PC and you want those on your Axim you will need to rename your Axim (Settings/System/About/Device ID) and then create a new partnership in Activesync. Use Windows explorer to transfer the files from your old folders to your new ones on your PC or Axim. Once that is done you can delete your old files, delete the old patnership and then BACKUP to your new partnership!
