IBM Microdrive 1GB battery usage

I aquired the usage of an IBM microdrive and played with it over the weekend playing MP3 and such. I was curious about the speed and battery usage as compared to Cf or SD cards.

The speed seems to be comparable with files and MP3s but boy does that thing chew up the battery. Only lasts about 1.5 hours as compared to 4-6 hours with CF or More with SD.

Just an FYI for the group in case someone is thinking about a purchase since they are getting cheaper.

Dell has released a high capacity battery that has 3250ma and sells for only $129 and is slightly thichker than the regular battery with close to 2.4 times the staying power of the regular battery. It works well with the IBM Micro Drive.
