Does anyone know exactly how one can "jump" to any rank on Space War? I don't want to do so, for I expect some drawback, but it's driving me out of my skull because I can't find the preference, or button, or anything of the sort.

Anyone know?

ok i have gotten to fleet admiral in mayby 3+ games by useing rsc edit
all you do is download the editor and then go to saved prefrences and find the file swmr itll be at the bottom depending on whats installed. and mess around with the saved prefs use the international chArriters for the stuff i have 400000 phaser and 5555553 torp 3002 shield and 326 engine and i have 20988888888884389720 points i have the record
p.s you can do this with other games just go to the program list and find creator id (a four letter or number sequence) and go to saved prefs the edit away>

Erm... perhaps the question requires rephrasing.

I have heard in multiple descriptions/reviews that embedded in space war is the option to automatically jump to any rank, via a method sepparate from nominal experience-leveling. Perhaps you know of this?
