I've been a Palm user for the past three years and am bored--beyond the PIM only stage. I want a Pocket PC for the multimedia capability. However, the cost and the size of PPC's has been holding me back. Now I've got about $300 to spend and have narrowed it down to 2 models, the HP iPAQ 1910 and the Dell Axim X5 (64MB model).

I've handled both of them and think that the Dell is clunky compared to the iPAQ (espec. since I'm an M500 owner). However, I recognize that the Dell has more features for the same money. Will I regret going for the form factor of the iPAQ over the faster and more versatile Dell? I suppose that the Dell is no bigger than the Palm III series...still, it doesn't look like it'd fit in my pocket.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,
If you are looking for fun and great displays, and good music, the IPAQ 1910 is the choice. If you need to do e-mail though, you need to look further. Here is a review of the 1910, that I thought was very helpful.
Good luck, Jim

Thanks for the information. I definately want to be able to do Wi-Fi down the road. I had thought that I could use the upcoming SanDisk 802.11b SD Card with built in flash memory. But since the iPAQ SD slot isn't SDIO, I 'll have to look at other options.
