Activesync over WiFi wont work

I have an iPAQ 5400 connecting to a Linksys AP Router. Using static IP addresses with the IP address of my desktop listed under WINS and 64K WEP.

I want to sync to my MS2000 desktop connected to the Linksys AP with a Linksys USB WiFi device. I have set activesync to accept syncing over the LAN but it doesnt work.

Has anyone ever gotten this to work? If so, what did you do?

Yes, I use it all the time in my house Via Wi-Fi. All I had to do was enable remote sync with "My PC Name" under the Active Sync options in PPC 2002. Also had to make the password for my login to PPC save automaitcally instead of prompting everytime since I cannot type it in from my living room.

Make sure no firewall issues reside on your 2000 machine. You might have internet protection setup.

I have BlackIce running on my 2000 PC. What firewall setting would cause the sync traffic to be stopped? Would there be a way to keep the firewall running and allow the sync traffic?
