remote memory error 4013

When trying to install minicalc 6.5 on a professional palm, I get the following error in the log file.

Install synchronization failed
Remote memory error 4013



The application is 130k and I have over 900k available.

It sounds like a conduit error. MiniCalc requires it's own conduit and that may be the problem. Try reinstalling the MiniCal software.

The memory in your handheld may be full. To check the available memory, select Memory from the handheld's Application Launcher.

Protocol Error: Remote memory. (4013)"

Try a soft reset on the Palm.

Did that before the reinstall. No luck.

I was hoping that the old Palm Prof was suffering a failed memory reset and would cough up the needed memory to remove the error message.
Just how much memory do you have showing on the INFO menu?

Have you ever had this problem with anyother software?
Any word fromm the Minicalc tech support?

Have you tried running a memory defrag program on the Palm? I think there was one called recycle.

The old Palm Pros did suffer whe they had a build up of residual bits but it generally deteriorated the amount of memory shown. In this case 910 is almost half the memory.
