Malaysian NetBook Bulk Purchase arrangement

Dear all,

My name is Asri from KL. I am arranging Malaysian Netbook bulk purchase at RM 900.00 per unit. To those who live in KL, I will deliver personally but to those outside KL, I will send via courier service (you have to add the postage cost). This is my 2nd bulk purchase arrangement. Last week I did sent 2 netbooks to Kuching and 1 to Penang. They arrived safely and the buyers are very happy.

I fell in love with Psion since 2 years ago (Revo Plus) and now I own a Malaysian netbook which I run indepently from PC. I backup my data in a CF card. No problem with Opera v5.14 (<74<k*d...hehehe). I am not a programmer and I dont need the OPL programming and stuff but for my daily use, it serves me beyond my expectation.

I can arrange to deliver to Singapore and Brunei too (you have to add the postage cost). By the way, the package includes:-

1-The Malaysian NetBook (+1 stylus +1 main battery + 1backup battery )
2-Psion Gold Card Modem + Fax PCMCIA card
3-Phone cable
4-Power adaptor (charger)
5-1 cd (PsiWin 2.3.3), Softmanuals etc
6-Psion Netbook quick start userguide.

The package does not include:-
1-RS232 serial cable
2-docking station
3-CF OS card
4-Carrying bag made of PVC

The warranty provided is 2 weeks. Afterwhich, if anything happens, you have to send it to SITA directly. But I have used my netBook for more than 1 months and am very satisfied with it.

The netBook is OS ready meaning that you can instantly use it out of the box. The CF OS card is not supplied. You have to get it from SITA at RM100(Sandisk 32MB CF).

Please take note that I am not working with neither SITA nor anybody involved in the Malaysian Netbook project. I am just doing a favour helping people to get the netBook cheaper than anywhere else.

Pls check the following link.

I can be reached at +6016 247 1151 or norsham@pd.jaring.my should you have any inquiries. I will be glad to answer.

The dateline for this bulk purchase is on Sunday, February 2nd 2003.

Thanks for viewing.
Rgds

Bulk purchase of netBooks

An endorsement:

I joined the Malaysian User group and learned about the bulk purchase opportunity that ARSI mentioned. Since I have a number of friends who are interested in netBooks, I e-mailed (ARSI kindly provided me with the address) directly to Sita Multimedia SDN BHD to inquire about bulk purchases and also to purchase a netBook for my immediate personal use. First, the service was extremely good and then the prices and availability of product and accessories were excellent. As examples:

Malaysian (Ed-One) netBook (w/WAN Global Gold Card): $258.00
32MB DIMM: $156.00
Lithium Ion Battery (a spare. the nB comes complete): $118.00.

My nB came well packed, with CD, mains adapter, modem cable - but no RS232.

Vanita was my contact at Sita and she or the Sales Department can be reached at sales@sita.com.my.

My only negative occurred here in Greece. I paid for shipping $65.00 via FedEx, and the package arrived in 3 days, but then the trouble started. I had to go to the air cargo terminal at the Athens airport and pay 162,00 Euro for VAT and other courier charges. That may or may not be the expense imposed in other EuroZone nations of the EU. Possibly by buying one of the machines ARSI is offering through the bulk purchase, one could escape the VAT and Customs problems because the item is coming from an individual and not a company.

For a new Malaysian netBook at a very reasonable price, I highly recommend the purchase from ARSI or Sita. I am not benefiting from this endorsement in any way, I simply wanted to let anyone seeking a netBook know that these are people you can trust and the product the sell is as good as the known limitations allow.

Kenneth from Norway has the right idea, we psion users need to take the development of the netBook in our own hands, start a company, and develop a fine product into a superior one.
