ScreenShot Map capture - bright yellow instead of tan

The daytime background color which is normally a shade of tan is bright yellow when captured via Linkesoft ScreenShot5. I've had some very good dialog with Andreas but no luck sorting out this color mismatch. I've noticed one other ScreenShot5 capture in this forum that has the bright yellow background. I've tried both 8 and 16 bit depths with similar results. Any ideas what makes this occur? I've attached an example.

Believe it or not, the "tan" is really pure yellow, so the screenshot program is working correctly. Red and green look weird on the iQue as well.

You can prove it to yourself by using a paint program on the pc to make a pure yellow image, load it on the iQue and use an image viewer on the iQue to view it and you'll see that the yellow is tan.

Yep, doesn't look like there's anything wrong with that screenshot. Keep in mind that the contrast of the screen on the iQue is nowhere near what it is on your monitor. Bright or particularly intense colors wash out considerably.

Take a looksie. The bright yellow I can handle, it's those neon green parks I can't stand!

Using freeware of www.irfanview.com, you can change the colour balance, gamma etc but nirvana is not attained.

I've now looked more closely at red, green and blue colors. They look somewhat washed out compared to a pc monitor. The yellow color is more noticeably different. Is this peculiar to the iQue or does it also occur on other palm devices? I've attached a simple 4 color image to use for comparison.
