Older Betty Slowing Down On Sync?

My one year old "Betty" still works great ( I use her almost every day) but I have noticed that she now seems to hang for about 30 seconds when I do a hot sync??
The computer moniter says: " Retreiving data from palmgear.com" & Betty's screen is showing: " Synchronizing Memo Pad" when this happens. I'm wondering if it's because there are alot more files for her to sort through now & if there is a way I can speed things up again by deleting some un-needed older files??

Try disabling whatever conduit you have that is connecting to palmgear.com and see what happens. It could just be palmgear.com that is slow to respond and nothing is wrong on your end.

Thanks for the reply Funbob....BTW, why does Betty contact Palmgear when hotsyncing? What files is she getting? (if it's ads maybe I can get her to bypass palmgear altogether)

Palmgear has some sort of tool that is supposed to notify you when updates to your installed software is available. I think it is also able to download and install applications you've purchased. In any case, it is almost certainly what is contacting palmgear.com. This isn't a standard part of sync'ing with an iQue.
