Games will not run?

I have a Nav740 Gps.

Display 4.3” LCD Touch screen
Resolution 480 x 272 (WQVGA)
Colors 65,536
Processor Samsung 2440 400Mhz (arm920T- S3C2440A)
System Memory 64MB Flash Onboard / 64MB RAM
Storage Type 2 GB SD/MMC Flash included

It is running Microsoft Windows CE Ver.5.0 When i connect it to my pc it says it finds a 2003 pocket pc.

I installed the windows ce entertainment pack the only games that will run are

Space Defense, Taipei, Cinco (They all look pretty old)

when i try to start free cell, hearts, Minesweeper, chess ETC. It says that XXX is not a valid windows CE application or it does nothing at all?

I'm not sure that i have the full windows CE. is there any way to check if they left out files that were not need to run a GPS?

V7 Nav740 runs Microsoft Windows CE .NET 5.0 which is an embedded OEM version of core Windows CE. It is not Pocketpc or Windows Mobile. The manufacture can customize Windows CE .NET 5.0 to create their own operating system to run their own applications. Most retail software will need regular Windows Mobile OS to run.

thanks

thank you i'm pretty good with windows but this is a new ball game. Is there anything i can try adding missing files or is there a chance of bricking the unit? It seems like the nav software runs off the flash card. do you think its possible to reinstall a full ver of pocketpc or mobile or are the specs not up to it?

Is it worth playing around with or just take it for what its worth?

Win CE os is stored in ROM so you will need to flash ROM. And there is no standardize version of WM os. Each one including homemade ones are written for a particular hardware device and will not run on others. Unless you want to write os from scratch, it's probably not worth it.
