Maybe also something like a current issues sticky which evolves with current issues. (edited by mod).
Like the rbro thing would be a current issue/resolution.
maybe a latest software sticky with links to where to download latest software, games, utilities for specified models, etc.
Originally posted by Skive The latest software should probably be two stickies tbh, one for rim software and one for 3rd party with the third party starting with the no apps loaded question and a link to the rim sticky.
Here are the links to the RIM Handheld software which I have found:
If you can't see a version of the OS in Application Loader, make sure the VENDOR.XML file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader is empty or not there.
This file when configured limits the OS versions available to the device through the Application Loader.
For individual Blackberry users (people who got Blackberries on their own without Blackberry Enterprise Server), and wondering about MDS and wondering about installing webviewer/Telnet/AIM/ICQ/MSN/etc, this is a good thread to try:
Some users on the tri-band 6280 and 7280 with v3.7.076 handheld software may not receive email messages following an extended period in no or extremely low coverage and user inactivity. When the user initiates an email after regaining coverage, or initiates a PIN or browsing session from the handheld after regaining coverage, queued e-mails are delivered to the handheld.

* From the handheld, the user can reset their device by doing the following:
* Press and simultaneously hold "ctrl (half moon)", "shift (CAP)" and "DEL"
* Remove battery from device, then place back into device or remove battery cover and press "reset" button.

An alternate interim software release (3.7.121) is also available. This is beta code and is NOT certified. There will be another build in a few weeks, so users will have to download another code version once certified. The interim Handheld code is available at:
Since the request was made in this thread to post all the carriers which offer BlackBerry handheld software, I'm adding this address for T-Mobile of Germany. But please note that the versions posted there for the 5280, 6710/6720, 6230, 7200- and 7700-series are sometimes older than those posted on the North American sites, even though the listed numbers may appear newer; apparently T-Mobile of Germany uses the final two digits to represent the release number, rather than the actual version number. So, when I downloaded the handheld software listed at the German site under the number 3.7.1.73, it was actually version 3.7.1.37 that got installed on my BB 7230.
You can run most Java 2 Micro Edition applications (MIDP 1.0) on your Blackberry, even applications designed for other cellphones than the Blackberry. Sometimes not all of them works, but a surprising number of them does.
