Description:
The Newton was a very popular PDA from Apple. It was touch screen based and even had a near full size keyboard option. In 1997 Apple released the eMate, a new PDA that used the Newton operating system. The eMate came in a clam shell design with a built-in keyboard. Unfortunately Interim CEO Steve Jobs decided to can the Newton in early 1998. Since then avid Newton fans have remained dedicated to this platform in hopes that someone would pick up the ball and develop the Newton again.
