Contact(s) Entry
Unfortunately, Sanyo doesn’t know that we Americans love to cut corners, especially when it comes to mundane tasks such as entering every contact we know into our phones.Dear cellular developers, In the future please either take advantage of an existing software platform such as MS Outlook to download/ upload contact information or design a proprietary software solution yourself… P.S. When you come to your senses, don’t forget to provide a software patch for those of us who’ve already bought the SCP 5000.

No Car Kit - No Hands free
Awesome potential, but they forgot to make a car kit for this phone. Its like trying to play baseball without the bat.

Awesome phone
The phone is awesome, packed with tons of features. So many that you tend to forget that it has so many, and don't end up using all of them until you are used to it.
It is small, light, and well designed. The screen isn't as easy to read as many had claimed before I bought it, but is a very welcome change to the usual monochrome LCD.
The external display is one of the main reasons I was attracted to this phone in the first place, having had a flip phone before, I went mad continuously opening it to see if anyone had called, and who, messages, etc.
The voice memo works very well, better than my last phone, the Samsung 8500. Also, the head set from the 8500 is compatible with the SCP5000, so if you are converting like I did, it helps.
The MIDI and picture downloading software works without any glitches and is kinda neat, but I find that I don't use it very much...yet.
Reception is good, but not awesome. Battery consumption is high when you have the backlight set on
