Calculator, needsa calculator
I like my REX 5000 the features are perfect except for one small thing. It realy needs a calculator. That would make it perfect. I was personaly using my REX with my laptop wich was a Daewoo cpc 7400s with windows 95 and a 486 75mhz cpu and it ran perfectly. I could syncronize with prblems.

Where to buy a Rex
I found this board looking for reviews of the OSI echo PD293-512. I found a place on Amazon you can still purchase the REX from. Hope this helps all :)

Search for REX and they have new and used.

Why
why do you forget upgrade for rex 5000 ? I know that is older but it was an excellent product and if you add the
download of the calculator for example it will be fantastic or not?

Rex 5000 drivers
The drivers for the Rex 5000 can be found at :http://appsr.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=651

If you get lost you can work through the xircom.com webpage and it will lead to support in the Intel web page.
A driver for XP isn't listed but the same error came up in Windows 2000 and installing and running the executable worked.

Why ask for more?
I happily used a Rex 3 until I lost it while on vacation, now I am trying to find a replacement. I wished I could enter new data on the Rex rather than only on the PC (I would like to track check book or expense entries on it), but other than that I thought it was perfect for its functions. Why would you want anything bigger just to carry phone numbers and appointments? I can grab my cell phone, my wallet and keys, and my Rex and have all the basics I need for a busy and productive day.

I don't see myself switching to a bigger PDA. I like my natural handwriting much better than "jotto" or whatever it is called, so I keep a paper journal. PDA screens are too small to comfortably read ebooks or enews (I have a Vadem Clio for that). Games are always fun, but I play my favorites at home on my desk PC.

Where to buy?
I've just managed to wreck my Rex 5000. It was brilliant and I want another. Where can I get one in the UK?
