In order to help developers of shareware/software understand our site better, we have put together this FAQ document. This should explain how to get your software included in our database and how to receive the most exposure for your software.

It is extremely important that the site maintains a close relationship with developers of shareware/software. If you have any comments or opinions about our site please don't hesitate to let us know.

1. Why should I list my software in your site's database?
    Our site receives hundreds of thousands of hits each month from people looking for software, reviews, and other PDA related information. Having your software listed in our database significantly increases the likelyhood that potential buyers will download it.

3. How long should my description be?
    We reserve the right to trim or adjust any description you submit. We want to provide as much information to our users as possible without having extra long descriptions. Please use your judgement on this. Listing every single little detail will not work, but highlighting the important features of your software will be sufficient. Keep in mind, software with complete descriptions gets downloaded more often than those that just have a single line.

5. Can you link to a registration form so I can track downloads?
    No. At the request of our users we have decided to link to download files only. We realize that there is a desire to track the number of downloads but we feel our policy suits our users best. If tracking downloads is that much of an issue, we recommend providing a separate file for our users so you can track that file separately. Alternately, the software file that gives details on each title also lists the number of downloads.

 6. How do I submit my software for your site to review?
    Please contact us notifying us of your intention to have your software reviewed. We will need a fully functional copy of your product before we can review it. Not all software will be reviewed but we do try our best to review those that are submitted.

7. Which software receives the most downloads?
    We track downloads for every software title. Our most popular pages will list the titles that have been downloaded the most. Also, each detailed page for each software title lists the number of downloads.

 8. What determines who receives the software award?
    The software award is given to a few select software programs that stand out from the crowd. They are judged on usefulness, design, creativity, and usability. The award is given based on our opinion only.

10. Are there any restrictions?
    In our effort in keeping a non-offensive environment there are a few restrictions. Our site does not endorse any programs or advertising that pertains to adult-related material, such as pornography, alcohol, firearms, and the like. We reserve the right to refuse an application for any reason.
